Everton should move for this 23-year-old if they want to seriously break into the top six

Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern want to see some seriously good signings come in over the summer window as they look to build on 2016/17.

The men from Goodison Park enjoyed a fine campaign under Ronald Koeman’s guise – with it being his first year in charge – and now the club must look to build on that.

Indeed, they are the best placed side to get into the top six and so with a strong window of signing top level players they may just be able to break in.

Certainly, we think they’ve got the tools to do just that and we reckon that signing Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea would be a fine way of kicking things of.

Of course, the Belgian is still unproven really at this level given the fact Diego Costa played ahead of him last season for Chelsea but when he did play in his cameo roles he often produced the goods.

Indeed, it was he who scored the goal that won the Blues the title and throughout the campaign he has shown himself to be a powerful live-wire that’s sharp in front of goal.

What a player like that needs, then, is the platform to perform and with our Everton punters concerned about Romelu Lukaku jumping ship, Batshuayi could be the ideal replacement.

The former Marseille man really is a raw but superb talent and in a side that is nurtured by the evidently skilled Ronald Koeman, he might just replace Lukaku with ease.
