The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern are happy that the season is coming to an end after enduring one of their most dull and boring campaigns in many years, although they still are set to finish in the top 10 of the Premier League.
Sam Allardyce has been the culprit behind the poor play Everton are producing, so he and many others will likely be moved on this summer.
Whoever takes over from the Englishman will have a bunch of passionate fans and a good team to look after but improvements will still have to be made should the Toffees which to continue their growth rather than decline down the table.
A player who could be a realistic target for Everton is Bayern Munich midfielder Sebastian Rudy, who is valued at £13.50 million on Transfermarkt.
When arriving on a free transfer at the German champions, few would have believed that this season alone the 28-year-old would feature in 34 games so far but Rudy has been a good, important player in Bayern Munich’s midfield.
However, with the influx of new talent constantly arriving at the Allianz Arena, Sebastian Rudy may find it better to move to the Premier League where playing-time wouldn’t be such a rarity.
Everton look like a team bereft of fresh ideas and the best way to fix that is by splashing the cash on talent that could improve their current set-up. Sebastian Rudy has been a good Bundesliga player for a number of years now and the 28-year-old could still reach his full potential with a move to Goodison Park.
