Everton and Marco Silva are hoping to extend their good start to the season despite a number of key injuries early on into the campaign.
Reportedly the Toffees have around nine first-team players ruled out of action already at the start of the season and that doesn’t give confidence to fans and manager that they can continue their unbeaten start to the season.
With fixtures set to be hotting up over the next few weeks, Everton urgently need players back but also that presents that more needs to be done in the transfer market.
The Toffees have a very strong team but it could easily be improved upon, particularly in midfield and the perfect player that could take them to the next level based on his potential is Lyon central-midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
Ndombele, (who is valued at £22.5 million on Transfermarkt) is a player who seems to be growing in potential after every game that goes past. Although he only made him move permanent to Lyon this summer, Everton would have seen enough of the 21-year-old to understand the talent he possesses.
After playing against them last season, Ndombele would also understand the need for him in amongst the Toffees midfield as a long-term replacement for Morgan Schneiderlin.
The Lyon man is extremely athletic, he gets around the pitch with ease and has a great eye for a pass, proven by his seven assists in the league last season. With the addition of Tanguy Ndombele alongside Gueye in midfield, the spine of Everton would have just been boosted massively.
It would take a significant investment to prize him away from France after just joining Lyon permanently but it’s not often Everton could have a chance to recruit a midfielder as good as Ndombele.
