Everton take next step towards signing Championship target

Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern think their club has got all the right ingredients to have a very successful future at the moment.

Indeed, you can certainly see that the club have all the right things in place to make that next step up in the league.

They’ve a top manager in Ronald Koeman, top facilities and players as well as strong members in the recruitment team with Steve Walsh in charge.

Walsh, of course, helped Leicester sign the likes of N’Golo Kante and Everton surely want to see the same kind of results happen for them – as well as seeing the best young stars about coming in too.

And, it appears, one such player is going to come in soon with the Toffees in talks – as per The Telegraph – with Nottingham Forest over young star Brennan Johnson.

The Toffees have a strong culture of bringing through their own young players but they’ve also got a good network of scouts to bring the best in with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin the latest demonstration of that.

Johnson, then, will be hoping to go the same way should this deal go through.
