Everton: Theo Walcott revelation over Carlo Ancelotti man management has supporters talking

Speaking to Everton’s official website, Toffees winger Theo Walcott opened up over Carlo Ancelotti’s man management skills and how the gaffer’s words spurred him on to score the winning goal against Watford last weekend.
Walcott, who bagged his first goal of the season following a six-month dry spell, spoke candidly over Ancelotti’s words which may have stuck with the Englishman for their trip down south to Vicarage Road. Compared to fellow winger Bernard, Walcott has averaged more shots on goal per game (1.6) than the Brazilian but has still scored less – with his teammate also reigning superior in terms of key passes (1.1) and dribbles (1.3) per game, as per WhoScored.com.
Following Everton’s 3-2 comeback win last Saturday, the 30-year-old has been full of praise for his new manager, stating to club media: “Before the game, Carlo said to me, ‘Theo, you are allowed to score goals’ – it made me laugh and relaxed me.”.
As a result, following his heroic last-minute winner at Watford, plenty of supporters have reacted to his quotes online, having their say over whether Walcott can build on that moment whilst also having kind words to say about Ancelotti’s motivational tactics. Still hope we will be looking elsewhere in the summer but if it helps to get more from Theo then got to hand it to the boss for his light touch. Genius! 💙

They all have a chance to impress until the end of the season I reckon. Some are flourishing but others better lift…

This is funny because it actually visible on the pitch. Pre Carlo it was almost too obvious that some players were told not to shoot.
