Everton touted to go toe-to-toe with Euro giants for 29-year-old star

Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern simply cannot wait for their season to start in the Premier League with them looking in good shape.

On the brink of the Europa League group stages, and having signed plenty of new faces, there can be no doubt that the club is looking to be on the up this season.

Whether or not they can break into the top six remains to be seen, but the squad is certainly looking driven under Ronald Koeman and that is all the fans can really ask for.

In the meantime, then, as we wait for their game against Stoke, let’s indulge ourselves in some transfer rumours with the latest coming from Sky Italia – via football-italia.

Indeed, the Croatian forward Nikola Kalinic is the one who is being linked with the club right now as the Toffees seemingly continue to try and make sure Romelu Lukaku is not missed.

However, European giants AC Milan are also being linked with the forward and so the pair might just go head-to-head for the 29-year-old.

Landlord’s Verdict

Kalinic is a top looking forward these days and is far better than the player he was at Blackburn those years ago.

Indeed, his experience of European football could seriously prove vital for Everton but trying to beat AC Milan to his signature could prove a real stumbling block.
