Everton: Transfer stat concerning managerial signings gets Toffees supporters talking

Responding to a statistic from Twitter account The Gwaldys Street, many Everton supporters have been debating the fact that Carlo Ancelotti’s current squad of players is made up of signings from five previous Toffees managers – with some fans now anxious for their current gaffer to make additions of his own in the summer.

According to the update, Everton’s current squad is made up of signings from five different Toffees bosses before Ancelotti – David Moyes (2), Roberto Martinez (2), Ronald Koeman (7), Sam Allardyce (1) and Marco Silva (11). Despite the recent January transfer window, the current boss hasn’t been able to acquire additions of his own to fully implement his vision at Goodison Park, with a looming summer window presenting the opportunity for a massive overhaul.

The former Napoli boss will now be focusing on propelling the club to within reach of a European qualification place – with the Toffees currently five points off Man United who hold fifth spot.

As a result of the statistic, some Everton fans have been debating who the best signings of the bunch are while hinting that a clearance sale is ‘long overdue‘ – find all of their best comments down below.
