Everton supporters have definitely been the most-vocal in the tavern over the course of this transfer window as their beloved club have shown ambition for the very first time going into a Premier League season.
If Ronald Koeman is key to re-acquire the goals he’ll miss out from Romelu Lukaku’s departure, then he should turn to some of the outcast strikers at their top-flight rivals, especially as they’ll be adamant to prove a point.
One man who isn’t too busy at the minute is Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony, who’s found little form upon his career at the Etihad and fans by the bar reckon he’d be a massive hit at Goodison Park if a deal went through.
The Ivory Coast international was a prolific figure in Swansea City boots as he netted 35 times in 70 outings and that was enough to award him a dream move to Manchester City, but he found little hope of resurrecting that goal scoring touch in sky blue.
Our bar man saw his form dramatically drop and a measly eleven goals in 46 appearances led to a season-long loan at Stoke City last campaign and even then he struggled to make an impact with the Potters.
Bony returned to City upon the climax of the 2016/17 term and has now seemingly become the forgotten man, which may trigger an exit and if he’s set to recapture his previous records then a switch to Everton is needed when you consider the service he’d have at his disposal.
Everton supporters, do you feel your side still needs another striker? Would you happily welcome Wilfried Bony to Goodison Park? If not, who’d be your first-choice attacking target? Tell us your opinions in the comment section below!
