Marco Silva should be looking to bolster his attacking options in the January transfer window to continue Everton’s excellent start.

The Toffees have made a decent start to the Silva era and currently sit sixth in the Premier League table. The Portuguese has transformed Everton into a quality attacking side, a far cry from the style of play used by Sam Allardyce at Goodison Park. Fans will definitely be pleased with their performances so far and will be hoping for similar success during the busy festive period.

The transfer window reopens in less than a month, and Silva should be looking to strengthen his ranks to boost their chances of a European finish come May.

One man who should be on his shortlist is Atlanta United superstar – Miguel Almiron. Valued at just £9m by Transfermarkt, the playmaker moved to the MLS in 2016 and quickly developed into a crucial player for his side. The 24-year-old has set the league alight and has attracted plenty of interest from Premier League clubs as a result with Newcastle and West Ham reportedly keen to bring him to England – Everton should join the race for his signature.

Primarily a number ten, Almiron is also comfortable on either wing meaning he would be the ideal replacement for Theo Walcott. The former England international has struggled for goals this season and Almiron would be a huge upgrade. With electrifying pace and expert dribbling ability, the Paraguay international would be a nightmare for Premier League defenders and add another dimension to the Blues attack.

Signing a player from the MLS will always be a risk, but with 12 goals and 13 assists so far this season, it might be a risk worth taking for the Toffees.
