With the financial backing of Farhad Moshiri, new Everton boss Marco Silva will be hoping to make significant changes to his squad as the Merseyside club look to close the gap between them and the Premier League's elite.

Director of Football Marcel Brands, though, has made it clear that Everton will have to make a host of sells before they can attack the transfer market, as quoted by the Guardian. And according to the Daily Star, Yannick Bolasie could be one of those players to be shown the exit door this summer.

Bolasie joined Everton for big money after he joined from Crystal Palace back in the summer in of 2016 and, although he's missed a lot of football due to a long-term injury, the Congo international hasn't lived up anywhere close to his price tag.

The departure of Bolasie would free up a spot in Everton's squad for another attacker, and the Toffees should pursue the £20.7m-rated (via Transfermarkt) Andriy Yarmolenko to fill it.

BILD, via Tribal Football, are reporting Everton's interest in the Borussia Dortmund winger, and the 28-year-old would be an excellent addition to the side.

Yarmolenko didn't have the best of seasons in the most recent Bundesliga campaign, but the Ukraine international always looks a threat when cutting in from the right-hand side with his left-foot.

Everton have been linked with Yarmolenko on plenty occasions in the past – in 2015, Sky Sports reported the club had agreed a £15m fee with Yarmolenko's former team Dynamo Kyiv for the player – but this could finally be the summer where the Ukrainian moves to Goodison Park.
