Yesterday’s dramatic win over Watford once again lit the fires of optimism amongst the Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern. Though it’s been an awful season so far, the Toffees in the Tavern are hoping THAT dramatic win at Goodison Park can be a turning point.
In fact, that theme has continued, with reports emerging in regards to events behind the scenes on Merseyside.
That’s because, according to Sky Sports, there have been more problems at Finch Farm. Indeed, both Kevin Mirallas and Morgan Schneiderlin are thought to have been ordered away from training on Saturday by caretaker boss David Unsworth for a lack of effort.
The duo are understood to have been told to leave by Unsworth, who then oversaw his first win in temporary charge of Everton as they came back from 0-2 down at home to an impressive Watford side, winning 3-2.
While it’s not clear as to what exactly is going with the club right now, the Evertonians propping up our bar can get on board with Unsworth’s hardline approach, should it yield more good results.
Though there could be other circumstances in play in regards to the two players, it seems that ridding the training ground of those not putting in the hard miles can have a transformative effect on the rest of the team. Everton showed heart and if Unsworth can bring it to them, they will be fine.
