Reports suggest that Everton are lining up a transfer that would shock their supporters.

The Toffees have made a decent start to life under Marco Silva, but question marks remain over the future of Cenk Tosun in the attack. The Turk, who joined from Besiktas back in January, initially made a decent start to life on Merseyside but has since scored just one goal since March. Reports in Aksam via the Daily Mirror suggest that Everton would be willing to allow him to rejoin the Turkish side.

The Mirror also reports that Silva is lining up a crazy move for Liverpool forward Divock Origi to replace him. The Belgian has slipped down the pecking order at the Reds following a poor season out on loan at Wolfsburg and looks destined to leave. Not since 1992 has a player left Liverpool for Everton making this move seem extremely unlikely.

Instead, Everton should launch a bid for Bordeaux winger – Francois Kamano. Valued at £6.3m by Transfermarkt, the forward enjoyed a magnificent campaign last season, scoring eight goals in Ligue 1 to help his side qualify for a place in the Europa League. His form has continued into the new season with Kamano already finding the back of the net seven times in Ligue 1.

An explosive and dynamic winger, Kamano could be an excellent addition to the Everton squad. The Guinea international primarily operates on the left wing, but Silva could easily mould him into a right forward as he is comfortable on either foot; he can also function as the central forward. The 22-year-old possesses blistering pace and a physical frame which makes him a nightmare for defenders to deal with.

If Everton’s interest in Origi is genuine, the Blues would be making a massive mistake by not signing Kamano instead.
