Everton boss Marco Silva surely faces a real battle to save his job following a terrible run of form in the Premier League.

The Toffees were recently knocked out of the FA Cup by Millwall meaning their long wait for a trophy continues. As well as the humiliating defeat in the domestic cup, their league form has also left supporters disappointed with defeat to Watford leaving them in ninth place. More poor results during the run-in could cost Silva his job at the end of the season.

Regardless of who is in charge, it’s clear that signing a quality forward must be a priority during the summer transfer window. Cenk Tosun has struggled immensely since joining from Besiktas and Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s form has been inconsistent at best. A top striker should be number one on Marcel Brand’s wishlist at the end of the campaign.

One man the Blues should be targeting is Benfica hotshot – Haris Seferovic. Valued at just £8.1m by Transfermarkt, the Switzerland international moved to Portugal on a free transfer last summer after leaving Frankfurt. After struggling to break into the first-team during his debut season, Seferovic has been in tremendous form after establishing himself as a regular.

The 26-year-old has scored an incredible 17 goals already his season as well as registering eight assists for his team-mates. Seferovic is comfortable as the central forward or on either wing and possesses a deadly left foot that would cause plenty of problems for Premier League defences. His excellent form should prompt Everton scouts to sit up and take notice.

Now approaching the prime of his career, Seferovic could finally solve Everton’s striking dilemma once and for all.
