Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern are glad the international break is coming to an end after what has been a pretty negative few days for them.
Indeed, going into the break they were actually one of the most upbeat groups of fans here by the bar with the Blues going well in the league and looking ready for a European spot surge.
Now, though, they’ve seen key man Seamus Coleman ruled out for ages with a horror leg break and Ross Barkley once again get snubbed for England.
Indeed, many of our Toffees cannot understand why a player so talented isn’t even getting a minute for the international side especially when you consider this stat – courtesy of Squawka on Twitter:
Most Premier league assists by English players since 2015/16:
Ross Barkley (15)
James Milner (14)
Adam Lallana (13)
Dele Alli (12) pic.twitter.com/N7KQolFhfq

Perhaps, then, the Evertonian should get more of a look-in in the future with him clearly a hugely talented and creative force in behind the strikers.
