Everton have enjoyed their season opening with Marco Silva as the Portuguese manager has shown the ability to take this team to the next level.
The manager they were chasing for months seem to be redeeming himself and bringing his best tactics and nous to Goodison Park and fans are exactly to see what he can do with the Toffees.
Having spent a large amount of money on some top quality players over the summer, Silva is certainly equipped with the tools to succeed.
However their early season performances suggest that another defensive-minded midfielder is necessary, someone in the build of Southampton’s Mario Lemina.
Lemina, (who is valued at £13.5 million on Transfermarkt) enjoyed a good season himself with Southampton but didn’t get the plaudits after the team were fighting relegation until the very last game.
Making 25 appearances in the league last season, Lemina showcased his very best ability at times.
The former Juventus midfielder showed exactly where he came from in games, absolutely dominating and up-shining everyone else on the pitch. Unfortunately, like the team, consistency was the issue and Mario Lemina needs a top manager like Marco Silva to guide him to the top of his game.
Morgan Schneiderlin is a player now on the fringes with Everton and should Everton look for a replacement in January, they don’t have to look far to identify Mario Lemina as a top replacement. The 24-year-old still has years ahead of him unlike the Frenchman and has more athletic ability for sure, to cover the ground needed for Everton.
Would Lemina be a good addition at Goodison Park… Let us know!
