Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern have had a superb start to the season with their side beating Stoke and drawing with Manchester City.
Indeed, they’re also on the verge of the Europa League group stages and so the season couldn’t have really got underway much better for them.
For sure, they’ll be looking to see this early momentum carry on into the rest of the campaign and our local Toffees fans are seriously expecting them to do just that under Ronald Koeman.
The Dutch manager has done a fine job so far, then, especially in the transfer market and it seems as though he is not done just yet in terms of signing players.
Indeed, as quoted by the Express, the former Barcelona player revealed that he would like two more arrivals before the end of the market in just over a week from now.
“We are looking for a left-footed central defender, maybe as back-up for Leighton Baines.
“Also a striker because I think even with the talent of Dominic and Ramirez, look to other squads.”
The money, then, hasn’t quite ran out on Merseyside for the Blues yet and so it remains to be seen just who the club manages to sign in the next few days of the window.
Everton have played a blinder in the summer window and if they can add more to that and boost the quality of the squad further then that will be a real boost.
Koeman evidently knows who he wants to sign before the window shuts and now we’ll just have to wait and see if the club manage to get those names in.
