Koeman reportedly eyeing move for classy 21-year-old as Everton look to build

Still struggling to accept their late draw with Manchester United last night, it’s fair to say the Everton fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern are venting their frustration.

In many ways, it’s been the story of their season so far. The Toffees have looked great at times under Ronald Koeman, though often fail to push things over the line as they get to grips with this new era for the club.

So, reports from the Daily Mail have gone some way into taking their minds off last night. They claim the club are casting keen eyes over La Liga as they hunt for defensive reinforcements over the course of the summer.

While our punters have been impressed by Ashley Williams, they believe Koeman has some work to do in strengthening his defence, so there’s been a sigh of relief amongst them.

Las Palmas defender Mauricio Lemos is reportedly being tracked as the result of his assured performances in the Canary Islands this season, since joining the club from Rubin Kazan.

Barcelona are previously thought to have been keen on the 21-year-old and the punters propping up our bar are scouring the web on their phones to find out all they can about Lemos.
