The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to comments made by Yannick Bolasie on the Everton website. Everton lost 3-1 to Manchester City on Saturday at Goodison Park, meaning Manchester City have become the first team since Manchester United in the 2010/11 season to beat every team in the Premier League in a single season. Everton were 3-0 down at half-time but managed to win the second-half with a strike from Bolasie just after the hour mark.

Bolasie joined Everton from Crystal Palace in summer 2016 and has suffered with injuries since moving to Merseyside. The 28-year-old ruptured his cruciate ligament and missed over a year of football for The Toffees but will now be looking to get back to his best and justify his move from Palace to Everton with performances on the pitch.
The Goodison Park faithful will be hoping that Bolasie can kick on and gain confidence from his goal against City as he looks to nail down a first-team spot for the Premier League ever-presents. The Congolese international will be hoping that he can stay at Everton beyond the summer as the fans have been calling for an overhaul at their club. Manager Sam Allardyce has become a pantomime villain among the fans as the Toffees have publicly expressed their dissatisfaction with the 63-year-old being in charge. The club has fallen below expectations this season despite spending big last summer and fans will want to see that rectified under a new manager in summer.
