‘Legend’ – Everton fans react on Twitter to imminent transfer deal

It’s a sad day for the Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern.

While there’s been so much to shout about at Goodison Park this summer as Ronald Koeman splashes the cash, one deal looking likely to go through involving the Toffees has proved rather gutting.

Indeed, Gareth Barry is reportedly closing in on a £1m move to West Bromwich Albion after a four-year stint on Merseyside. Though the 36-year-old may no longer be first choice for the club, the former Manchester City man was a popular figure amongst our resident Evertonians.

With that in mind, here’s a look at how Everton fans reacted on Twitter to Gareth Barry’s imminent West Bromwich Albion move.
