Liverpool and Everton are on high alert after Balazs Dzsudzsak has admitted he would be interested in a move to the Premier League. Both clubs have shown an interest in the past and could be set to do battle this summer should the PSV star be ready to move.
The Hungarian international is believed to be on Everton’s wanted list this summer to replace Steven Pienaar and the English club have watched the 23 year old on several occasions this season. Liverpool showed an interest in January but PSV were unwilling to sell in the middle of the season.
Dzsudzsak, who recently signed a new long-term deal at the Phillips Stadion, admits if he was to leave PSV it would have to be for a bigger club. “I think the Premier League is one of the best, or maybe the best, football leagues in the world so it would be a great thing to play there”. “I want to sign to a bigger club than PSV. I haven’t made it a secret that this is my intention Dzsudzsak told origo.hu.
His form for PSV last year was outstanding with 14 goals and 16. He is fast, agile, a good crosser of the ball, and a free kick specialist. Liverpool are in desperate need of width with full back Glen Johnson their only real threat from wide positions. A winger is the first priority for manager Kenny Dalglish to give more support to Suarez and Carroll.
PSV are believed to value their prized asset at around £15 million something Everton may struggle to meet. Liverpool on the other hand are set to receive more funds from ambitious owners NESV this summer and manager Kenny Dalglish will have their full support.
Once potential stumbling block however is whether current coach Fred Rutten is willing to take Dzsudzsak ambitions into consideration. “But my coach said honestly that I’m still not ready for the change.”
