Moyes Restores Faith – At Last – With An Undeniably Shrewd Move

Los Angeles Galaxy and United States star Landon Donovan will re-join Everton on a short-term loan after both clubs reached an agreement to bring the 29-year-old back to Goodison Park.

The American forward will rejoin the Toffees on a two month loan meaning that he will be made available in Everton’s League home game against Bolton on 4th January and will finish his spell with none other than the Merseyside Derby on the 25th February.

Donovan proved a huge success in his previous loan with Everton and was a big hit amongst the Evertonians. Fans will be hoping that he brings the same spark and influence he did on his previous spell.

Everton boss David Moyes said:

“I am delighted that we have managed to get Landon back. He will give us some good experience over January and February.

“He did well for us when he was over two years ago and hopefully will return with those same qualities.”

Donovan added: “The opportunity to return to Everton and play for such a well-respected club and a manager that I hold in such high regard was something that was simply too good to pass up.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Everton in 2010 and I’m hopeful that we can experience similar success this time around.”
