Everton haven’t really been able to find their feet under Marco Silva as they continue to encounter problems at Goodison Park.
The Toffees would have had their sights set on a European place after investing heavily during the summer transfer window, but they haven’t been able to hit the front just yet.
Indeed, it’s vital that Everton can ensure consistency in what could prove to be a season-defining month, with the opportunity to move into the top half and challenge for a European place.
Although, with plenty of games still yet to come and a number of negative factors possibly coming into play, the Merseyside club could find themselves slipping down the table.
Therefore, here’s TWO things that could force Everton to take a step backwards…
GYLFI SIGURDSSON SUFFERS DROP IN FORM
The Icelandic midfielder has been simply sensational in recent times as he continues to find the back of the net, with many supporters beginning to admire his efforts.
However, the attacking midfielder has suffered a drop in form at times in his career so it wouldn’t be unknown for this to happen again. Indeed, the Toffees could find themselves waving goodbye to any hopes of securing a European place if this was the case, as their productivity in the final third all depends on Gylfi Sigurdsson.
FAIL TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY
One of the biggest problems under Marco Silva has been consistency as they often fail to make the most of promising positions in matches, which has cost them a number of points so far.
Indeed, the Merseyside club could find themselves in all sorts of trouble if they fail to ensure consistency for the rest of the month of October, as they could be in a position with nothing to play for at this early stage.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
