Everton know they need to quickly improve and regain some consistency in order for their season to be saved.
The Toffees are far from in trouble but for how big a club they are, they would like to strive for more under Marco Silva.
Currently in 11th place after an up and down Christmas period, Everton know they need to perform a lot better to start winning some games again.
With the options they have available to them, that is realistic yet it may be helpful for them to target some new players during the January transfer window.
Creativity has been missing from their most recent performances, something which Hertha Berlin’s Ondrej Duda could help resolve.
Duda, (who is valued at £7.2 million on Transfermarkt) has been influential for the German side this season, so much so, he would surely be a player of interest for a lot of teams this window.
With seven goals from attacking midfield this season, he could provide extra competition to Sigurdsson, as well as also having the ability to operate out wide as well.
At the age of 24, he is exactly the kind of attacking quality they should be targeting, seeing as the goals have dried up more recently for Everton.
As Duda can play in a number of different positions, Marco Silva can adapt his team and tactics to suit the Slovakian international.
This season has the been the first time Duda has really made an impact but that shouldn’t stop Everton pursuing a deal to sign him.
Instead, thinking about how good he has been will encourage them to strengthen their attacking options and look up the table rather than down.
