Perfect weekend: Everton

Perfect weekend: Everton
Everton will be desperate to ensure some consistency under Marco Silva after a rather mixed start to proceedings in the Premier League.

Indeed, the Toffees would have set their sights on a European place prior to the start of the current campaign, but they currently find themselves struggling to push into the top half.

However, the Merseyside club will be looking to secure a second consecutive league win when they take on an in-form Leicester City side at the King Power Stadium. It’s vital that the Toffees can secure all three points in a tough encounter that could define their season, with a loss forcing them even further down the table.

Of course, picking up maximum points and climbing up the table would be the ideal situation.

With that in mind, here is the perfect weekend for the Toffees…

LIVERPOOL LOSE UNBEATEN STREAK

Liverpool are currently unbeaten in the Premier League and are one of the favourites in the race for the Premier League title. But, they do face defending champions Manchester City this weekend in what could be a season-defining match for the Merseyside club.

So, Everton supporters would love nothing more than to see the Reds lose their unbeaten streak and slip up in their quest for an elusive Premier League trophy, with a win against Leicester topping things off.

RICHARLISON ENDS GOAL DROUGHT

Richarlison joined from fellow Premier League side Watford during the summer transfer window and has quickly established himself as one of the standout performers for the Toffees.

Indeed, the Brazilian has already managed to find the back of the net three times this season, but he is currently on a bit of a goal drought as he finds himself without a goal in his last four appearances for Everton.

So, it would be great for the future of Everton Football Club if he can find his feet against the Foxes this weekend, with a boost in confidence possibly taking him up another level.
