It’s fair to say that now Marco Silva has almost a whole squad of players to pick from, he is delivering for Everton as they continue to rise up the table.
Goodison Park is a much happier place now compared to the start of the season where Everton just couldn’t reach the form expected of them.
Now though, they have upped their performances and with almost every player fit and available, Everton are planning to have another successful season.
Italian outfit Calcio Mercato are suggesting that the Toffees are keen on making a move for PSV’s Hirving Lozano in January, as they aim to improve even more.
The man with eight goals in nine league games would be a fantastic addition, here’s what it could mean for the rest of the Everton team…
Bernard benched in Lozano’s place
The little Brazilian has been in good form since making his bow in an Everton shirt, setting up two goals in his six league appearances so far.
Bernard though would be the player sacrificed to make room for the even better Hirving Lozano. Richarlison has been too influential to drop and Bernard hasn’t yet fully acclimatised to the Premier League, meaning free-firing Hirving Lozano would walk straight into the starting 11, at the expense of their free signing.
Everton’s squad quality improves once more
Everton are currently in eighth place and with a great group of players, they really have the ability to finish wherever they want to this season.
With the exciting addition of Hirving Lozano as well, Everton’s overall quality would take a step up once again. It would be hard to argue that Everton don’t have one of the best squads outside the top six and their league table standing at the end of the season could reflect that.
