Premier League club looking to secure raid on Manchester United duo

According to The Mirror, Everton boss Ronald Koeman is eyeing a pair of Manchester United players in January with our resident Toffees fans here in the Transfer Tavern liking the amount of business the club is linked with.

For many seasons, Everton have struggled to compete with the top sides financially but they now look ready to start splashing the cash on, reportedly, Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin.

The two Old Trafford players have not featured much this season under Jose Mourinho with the likes of Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba emerging in their respective positions, and Koeman evidently feels he can get a deal done.

Indeed, he is known to be an admirer of Depay with him quoted as saying: “I would like to have him. He’s a young player with individual qualities and a threat. He’s efficient. I would like him in January.”

Should the Dutchman bring the two players in they’d be joining the likes of Yannick Bolasie and Idrissa Gueye as new signings this season, under the former Southampton boss.

So far he’s done a decent enough job, too, with the Toffees currently seventh in the Premier League table.
