Martin Jol, is apparently looking to add another striker to their squad, and has identified Anderlecht forward Dieumerci Mbokani as his top target.
According to the Daily Mirror, Jol had the 26-year-old striker scouted last weekend when he played against one of his former clubs, Standard Liege.
Fulham have only recently signed Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak and Jol clearly thinks another forward is needed as he looks to re-shape his Fulham side.
Mbokani joined Anderlecht from AS Monaco, and has been prolific, with seven goals in ten games since his return to Belgian football.
The Metro reports that the Congolese international could yet end up on Merseyside, with Everton and Liverpool also sending scouts to watch him this month.
His agent, Fabio Baglio, is quoted in the Metro report saying that a move could be on the cards.
He said: “Mbokani is currently playing with tremendous confidence. He is too good for the Belgian league and he knows it. English clubs cannot ignore his strong performances.”
Mbokani joined Monaco from Standard Liege in 2010, but never really settled in France. A loan spell at Wolfsburg followed but failed to revive the striker’s best form, and despite reported interest from England and Italy, he returned to Belgium this season with Anderlecht.
Stoke City are also believed to be interested since his return to form in Belgium and with much reported interest from all over the continent, especially the Premier League, it seems a summer move is on the cards for Mbokani.
