Revealed: 34% of Everton fans surprisingly don’t want Allardyce to make striker swoop in January

Toffees fans here in the Tavern are urging for some new arrivals in January, with their new man big Sam looking to dip into the market. Everton have suffered through their toughest start to a season for as long as many of the fans here in the Tavern can remember, after falling down into the unfamiliar realms of a relegation battle.

A huge sense of excitement has become evident between fans here in the pub, after the Mail Online reported that Sam Allardyce had enquired about acquiring the services of Arsenal forward Theo Walcott, after struggling to force a way into the Gunners’ starting 11.

Of course, this is a move that would bring happiness upon the faces of most Everton fans, with a forward desperately needed. Our Landlord here in the Tavern decided to throw up a poll for the Everton supporters to decide on whether they’d like to see Walcott at the club, which resulted in a convincing 66% of supporters wanting the gaffer to do everything in his will to sign the pace-man.

This comes as no surprise at all. He offers that dimension of pace that the sluggish Everton attack has been missing so far, with his proven goal-scoring talents at all levels set to please fans, while his constant runs beyond the last defender will benefit the supply lines of fellow Englishman Wayne Rooney.

So, for a side that is crying out for a natural goal-scorer with pace to burn, Walcott is the ideal target for an expected low price.

Everton fans, thoughts?
