Everton have endured a torrid start to the season as they creep ever closer to the relegation zone, with the Toffees having made a horror start questions are being raised about the future of Ronald Koeman as things at Goodison Park all gets a little bit heated.
News filtered through recently of the return to fitness of club captain Phil Jagielka, a man who’s been through thick and thin with the club.
With fellow strugglers Brighton being the next fixture it’s got people thinking as to whether the ex-England man will re-stake his claim.
The Landlord here at the pub decided to open up a form of debate to really get a feel of the different opinions and feelings towards this news.
However, there was no debate about it as the results were emphatic as 88% of them favoured Jagielka to be brought back in, which really speaks volumes for the club.
Fans here in the Tavern were overjoyed with the news as they feel their captain and leader would provide a real boost to the team and eradicate the toxic defending they’ve been accustom to so far this season. Indeed, they felt that this was expected due to the forever reliable defender providing the experience, leadership and quality to be the saviour in the current crisis.
This should only ever be looked on in a positive manner as the cure to all defensive worries may just have arrived, only time will tell as they look to get back on track against Brighton.
