Given Wright-Phillips’ astronomical wages of £60k p/w, a January loan deal is most likely. Both clubs will have the chance to assess the player before agreeing to shell out such wage demands. A straight purchase would probably be deemed too risky by either club unless the England International was willing to take a pay cut.
