Silva would improve Everton’s attack even further if he swooped on £9m-rated dynamo

The Everton fans in and around the Transfer Tavern are eagerly awaiting their club to recruit some new talent this summer so they can attempt to fulfil their European ambitions.

Marco Silva has been hunted by Everton for months now and after finally securing their man, the Toffees must ensure they back him in the transfer market so that success can be achieved. Everton have a team full of good players but equally, have players that should no longer be necessary or good enough to help a European push. Therefore to replace the deadwood at the club, our punters suggest Gonzalo Martinez as a worthwhile signing at £9million.

The 25-year-old currently plays for River Plate in Argentina and having enjoyed personal success this year, he should be the player that Everton look into signing. Martinez, a player who can play anywhere across the front line, scored 7 goals and managed 4 assists in all competitions last season. Those statistics prove that not only is he a threat on the wing but also he makes chances happen and has the figures to back himself up.

Walcott and Bolasie are good, pacey wingers but bringing Gonzalo Martinez in as well would add a dynamic element to their attack, full of trickery and determination to influence goal-scoring opportunities.

Everton have to improve on their turbulent performances from last season and the only way they can do that is to acquire some talented players during this summer transfer window. With the signing of Gonzalo Martinez alone, their attack could have a completely new dimension to it, and one filled with excitement.
