After a poor start last season, Everton recovered to finish 8th. Marco Silva will likely be plotting on how to get Everton to challenge for a Europa League spot.

The Toffees had a poor start last season, but made a good recovery under Silva.

Everton opened their transfer business by signing Brazilian forward Richarlison for an initial £35m, which could rise to £50m with add-ons. Whilst this signing is arguably overpriced, the young Richarlison is likely an improvement on Dominic Calvert-Lewin. With Walcott and Richarlison, this Everton side looks like it has goals in it going into the coming campaign.

Everton signed several players before the beginning of last season. With the exception of Jordan Pickford, arguably many signings flopped last season. Davy Klaassen has already left Goodison Park for Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga, which sums up last year's recruitment drive fairly well.

With an ageing backline, freshening up the defence should be a priority for Marco Silva. Solidifying the defence will go a long way towards helping Everton achieve their goals next season, as well as affording Pickford a breather more often.

With that in mind, surely Moshiri has to sign these two players, who are perfect for Marco Silva's side....

Marcus Rojo has been tracked by Everton, and the club have reportedly tabled a bid for the defender.

The 28-year-old defender has been with the Red Devils since 2014, a composed defender and a leader on the pitch, Rojo would likely be a good signing for the Toffees.

Rojo is an organiser and would bring clarity to the Everton back-line. He has a great pedigree, having made 59 senior appearances for Argentina. Rojo would be something of a coup for the Goodison outfit if they can secure this deal, despite his current standing at Man United.

Batshuayi has struggled to make himself a regular starter since he signed at Stamford Bridge. Considering his lack of minutes, he has a good goal scoring record for the Blues. The Belgian front man scored ten goals in all competitions for Chelsea last season.

He would bring quality hold-up play to Goodison Park due to his large frame, he is a top-quality target man at the top level. Batshauyi would add a new dynamic to the Everton game, which they have lacked since the departure of Romelu Lukaku.

Moshiri should do everything to get this deal over the line.
