Three games in, it’s obvious Marco Silva needs to hand these 2 Everton wonderkids a chance

It’s been a solid start to the season for Marco Silva’s Everton. The Toffees are unbeaten after three Premier League games.

The Portuguese boss will be relatively satisfied with how things are going for his Goodison Park outfit. However, he will be slightly concerned by the clubs discipline record, given Everton have received two red cards in their three Premier League fixtures. The last red came for in-form Richarlison, sent off for a rush of blood on the South Coast against Bournemouth. The discipline of his side must become a focus for Silva, as he will not want senior players missing games due to ill-discipline.

However, Richarlison missing games has put a new spin on the futures of some of the players in his squad. Here are two wonder kids he should give a chance in the wake of the Brazilian’s red card…

Ademola Lookman

RB Leipzig, of the Bundesliga, have bid £25m + add-ons for the 20-year-old forward, according to Sky Sports.

It seems odd Silva would be willing to sell one of the brightest young talents at the club. Particularly after Richarlison will be missing the next few fixtures, he should surely give the ex-Charlton Athletic player a chance to impress the Goodison Park faithful. His strength, pace and technique will make him a menace to any defence in the Premier League. If he shines in the Toffees’ side, the Merseyside club could pick up even more money for his services in January.

Kieran Dowell

The attacking midfielder shone in the East Midlands last season, out on-loan with Championship outfit Nottingham Forest. Starting the 20-year-old would give the England youth international a real chance to develop his talent. Transfermarkt value Dowell at £2.7m.

Tidy in possession and possessing a good passing range, Dowell also has a real ability to find the net. He scored nine goals with the City Ground outfit last season, and has surely earnt his chance to show what he can do at Goodison Park. Playing just behind the front-man, Kieran Dowell could become one of the most exciting attacking midfielders the Premier League has to offer.
