The Everton fans who are gathered at the bar in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports that the club will have to break the bank to land their first choice goalkeeper for next season.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, the Merseyside club have been quoted a mammoth £20m for Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.
Koeman has earmarked the Danish shot stopper as his number one target between the posts for next season, following the departure of Tim Howard from Goodison Park earlier this summer.
The Foxes, rather understandably, are keen to keep the Dane at their club and have entered negotiations with the player over a new long term contract.
