Tottenham Hotspur: Many fans were furious with Mauricio Pochettino’s decision

With Tottenham Hotspur having gone three consecutive Premier League games without a win, as per Transfermarkt, there was a lot of attention being placed on who Mauricio Pochettino would choose to start against Everton.
There was one specific decision that many of the club’s fans took issue with when the selection came, as Christian Eriksen started ahead of Giovani Lo Celso:

Prior to the game at Goodison Park, Lo Celso had only played a mere 57 minutes since joining the club on loan from Real Betis, as per WhoScored.
With many fans having grown frustrated with Christian Eriksen, they were hoping he would be replaced by the Argentinian, especially after he had been called up to his national team.
Will this be Mauricio Pochettino's last season at Tottenham?
Yes

No

However, the 23-year-old eventually had to wait until the 73rd minute to come on in what ended in a 1-1 draw.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the decision, including posts from frustrated Spurs fans, can be seen below:
Absolutely livid Eriksen is in the team. GLC is the future and Eriksen these days is an utter joke. Poch has had my every sympathy but he is putting pressure on himself with these ludicrous decisions. There is no justification for Eriksen playing at all

Would prefer to see one of the ball boys in there than Eriksen! No passion, no interest, no form. Ridiculous that he keeps on getting picked.

What do Eriksen and Aurier need to do for Poch to bench them. This is madness. I’ll ask again- are we sure Poch isn’t trying to get sacked? #COYS #TFHC

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
