Everton fans will be pleased to see news developing regarding their new stadium.

The Toffees are expected to move from Goodison Park in the near future with a new stadium scheduled to be built on Bramley-Moore dock. The Blues are proposing that their new home will house around 52,000 spectators, making it one of the biggest grounds in England. There is potential for the projected figure to reach 62,000 in the future.

As well as their impressive moves off the field, Everton should continue their excellent business in the transfer market. Marco Silva enjoyed plenty of success during his debut transfer window and should be looking for similar deals in January.

One man who should be on his shortlist is Nice defender – Youcef Atal. Valued at just £4.5m by Transfermarkt, the youngster has been one of the standout stars in Ligue 1, impressing at right-wing back and right midfield. The 22-year-old only joined the club in the summer but has already developed into a key player and could be seen as a long-term replacement for Seamus Coleman.

Atal would add some stability to the Everton back four for a number of years, averaging an incredible 2.4 tackles per game in Ligue 1 this season. Despite his young age, the defender also reads the game expertly, completing 2.4 interceptions on average. Not only does the Algerian excel defensively, but he also contributes to the attack whenever possible, completing an incredible 3.8 successful dribbles per game, meaning he should slot seamlessly into Silva’s attacking system (WhoScored).

Atal is improving with every game, and his stock continues to rise with every impressive performance. It won’t be long before some of Europe’s top clubs come calling for his signature, so Everton need to make their move as soon as possible.
