Everton could be about to see one of their players depart from Goodison Park this summer.
The 21-year-old is thought to have attracted plenty of interest from a number of Championship sides over the summer, however, it appears the Trotters are in pole position to land the highly-rated midfielder.
Williams has played at the second level of English football before when he spent last season on loan with Barnsley and featured in 38 games in all competitions for the Tykes.
In fact, it is believed he impressed so much during his time at Oakwell, that they made an offer to take him on a permanent deal but Everton turned that possibility down.
Williams was unlikely to feature for Marco Silva’s side this season following the additions the Portuguese manager has made and would benefit by making another loan move to the Championship.
However, with the club deciding to reject a permanent move away from Goodison Park this summer, it clearly shows that the 21-year-old has the ability to make an impression and Everton will be keen to see how he gets on during his loan move away.
