Everton’s Oumar Niasse is a target for Besiktas

Oumar Niasse has had a rather mixed time at Everton since arriving on deadline day in the winter transfer window in 2016.

The Senegal international cost The Toffees a fee thought to be £16.11million, per Transfermarkt and has failed to kick on as well as he would have liked.

In truth, despite having scored some crucial goals at times, he has spent time away from the club on loan and does not appear to be required by Marco Silva.

And, according to a report in Turkey, he could be offered a way out of Goodison Park in the upcoming transfer window.

Fotomac, via Sport Witness, are claiming that Besiktas are thought to be considering a move for the Everton striker, should they fail to bring their first choice target to the club.

The Istanbul giants are thought to be interested in Burak Yilmaz, however, it is understood that Niasse could also be a possible option for them.

The Verdict:

With him appearing to be surplus to requirements at Everton, a move for Niasse looks to be a viable option for the Roberto Martinez flop.

The Senegal international has not featured in a Premier League squad since September and made his last appearance for the Toffees in October.

However, it would appear for a move to Turkey to happen, Besiktas would have to miss out on their first choice target, before then trying to negotiate with Everton for Niasse’s services.
