Make no mistake, Everton are a roll. There were a few moments earlier this season in which question marks were rightly raised, but fortunately, things have turned around.

That can, of course, be put down to a number of things. You can look at the players, like Richarlison or Michael Keane, who have been so impressive this season. Or you can look at the transfers that were made over the summer more broadly.

You can even look at the Everton brass, for the job they've done behind the scenes.

However, the biggest difference between this season and last season is the manager - Marco Silva - and he's the man that deserves the credit.

After all, the job that he's done this season simply cannot be understated. He's turned a side that favoured long-ball football into one that relies heavily upon pure technical footballing ability. He's had help, in that a few new players have been signed, but he's been the glue that has helped to put it all together.

He's clearly a manager that is able to have a hugely productive impact on the field. Whether it be through new signings or current stars, he's been able to transform many of them so far this season.

One player, Michael Keane, has had a very tough year or so, yet upon Silva's arrival he's taken his game to the next level - and he's arguably better now than he's ever been before.

What is perhaps most impressive, though, is that he's done it all so quickly. Silva only joined earlier this year, and he's only had a few competitive months to get his team playing. That's all he's needed, though, as he's already taken his team up several notches this season.

What an impact he's made, and what a tremendous manager he is.
