Everton’s Yannick Bolasie and Muhamed Besic hold Middlesbrough talks

Everton are on the verge of seeing midfield duo leave the club this summer after both being told they were no longer needed.

According to a report by Sky Sports, both Muhamed Besic and Yannick Bolasie are closing in on a switch to Championship outfit Middlesbrough.

It is claimed that both are currently holding talks with Tony Pulis about a move to the Riverside Stadium on a possible loan deal, with the duo having travelled to the club’s training ground on Sunday.

Besic is already thought to have agreed to terms after a move collapsed on deadline-day for a permanent deal, whilst Bolasie is wanted on a loan contract, although Everton are thought to want an option to buy to be included.

The winger is not part of Marco Silva’s plans at Goodison Park this summer and was holding out for a move to another Premier League side, however, they failed to materialise and it appears he could head to the north-east to restart his career.

The Verdict:

A move to Middlesbrough could turn out to be a positive switch for the duo with both not expected to be anywhere near the first-team at Everton.

Besic spent the second half of the season at the Riverside last year and helped guide the team to a play-off spot and will give them some added quality in the middle of the park.

Bolasie will feel he has a point to prove, following a lengthy injury and with the departure of Adama Traore, he could make a real impact with the Championship outfit and get his career back up and running.
