After the success of Landon Donovan last season, another MLS star has chosen to join Everton during the off season. Steve Zakuani has confirmed he will train with the Merseyside club, could this be with a view to a permanent move?
David Moyes has had success before with this arrangement, Landon Donovan’s 10-week stint coincided with Everton’s strong finish to last season. This time, Zakuani, an attacking midfielder by trade but you’d think that Moyes would attempt to solve his striking crisis with this acquisition, is the prospect in mind.
At only 22, there is some longevity in this potential signing, and as Zakuani has played for both the Seattle Sounders and believe it or not, Arsenal, it seems that there is some pedigree in Moyes’ latest unpolished gem.
Will Zakuani follow in Donovan’s footsteps and be a success? Would Moyes be mad to miss out?
