Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are frustrated with their former star after the Daily Mail revealed that Kevin de Bruyne would not return to Stamford Bridge whilst Jose Mourinho is at the helm.
The creative midfielder failed to establish himself at Chelsea before making an £18m move to Wolfsburg in 2014.
Since his move to the Bundesliga, he has gone on to prove his critics wrong and is now considered as one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe.
Wolfsburg have labelled the 23-year-old as unsellable, which reflects the impact he has had at the Volkswagen Arena.
Although the Wolfsburg board are reluctant to sell him, there continues to be rumours flying around the Tavern linking him with clubs all around Europe.
But it appears as though if he does end up moving on this summer, then it certainly won’t be a move to Chelsea, unless something dramatic happened to Mourinho.
De Bruyne told Sport Bild: ‘I think, to be honest, that I would not return to Chelsea as long as he [Mourinho] is in charge. I know that I like the Bundesliga, and it always did me good.
‘But I don’t fear to return to England, or to play in Spain. I believe I can make it there.
‘You can’t compare my time at Chelsea with what is now.
‘If it’s like that [with Munich interested] then Bayern have to talk to Wolfsburg. Then those responsible will know what the deal is.’
