Leicester City may have just lost their manager but it appears that the transfer wheel never stops turning. In between tucking into some tangy salt and vinegar crisps, a section of the Football Transfer Tavern has been discussing a move for Esteban Cambiasso to Aston Villa.
The ex-Fox is expected to become a Villain on a free transfer with Villa boss Tim Sherwood hoping that the Argentine will help instil a winning mentality into his men after Cambiasso helped Leicester execute an incredible relegation escape.
At 34-years-old the defensive midfielder is no long-term option, and the punters here at Transfer Tavern think he’s about ready to collect his free bus pass, but the Sun believe that Sherwood has enough faith in the veteran to bring him on board.
Whether Cambiasso is more willingly to make that not so long journey from Leicester to Birmingham now that Nigel Pearson has been given his marching orders is yet unknown but considering that both teams struggled through-out the majority of the last season Cambiasso is likely to be fighting relegation yet again if he stays or if he goes.
