The Daily Mirror have one heck of a story here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim that former Manchester United midfielder Ravel Morrison could well be on his way back to Manchester, but with rivals City.
The troubled player is only 20 years of age and after being shipped out to West Ham United, lasted only nine minutes before being sent out on loan to Birmingham City. Now after a string of decent performances, the midfielder has caught the eye of Roberto Mancini who feels that the player deserves another shot at the big time.
After leaving the red half of Manchester because of a need for more playing time, Sir Alex Ferguson hailed the player as one of the best youngsters he had seen, yet off the field issues have marred the 20-year-old’s progress and after a falling out with Sam Allardyce it seems there was no way back for him with the Hammers. Now however it seems that Morrison is not only on the radar of Manchester City but former admirers Arsenal and Newcastle United are also sniffing around too. One thing that does seem clear – the player will not be returning to West Ham this summer, thus a move is a certainty.
Will City follow up their interest in Ravel Morrison? Rate this rumour below.
