Manchester City fans aren’t looking too worried here in the Football Transfer Tavern as the Daily Star seem to think that a Serie A giant is readying a bid for club talisman Yaya Toure.
The Citizens will have to brace or how shall we say, get themselves comfortably positioned for a bid from Inter Milan who are of course managed by Roberto Mancini once more with the Italian knowing Yaya rather well.
As one of our punters notes over a beer and burger set down by our landlord during our weekend of FA Cup magic, Toure could well be willing to leave the club and has not made any secret of the fact that he is unsure where his future lies.
A link up with one of his former managers may be appealing. Another of our regulars jokes that we hope Inter can afford a nice welcome to Milan cake if they seriously want to sign him!
Given City have not won a Premier League game without the midfielder since April last season, we are pretty sure they will want to keep the Ivorian in their ranks for the foreseeable future.
Manchester City fans. Do you really think the club would entertain a bid for Toure at this point in his career? Let us know your thoughts below.
