Ex-Premier League forward ‘happy’ to see Gary Neville struggling at Valencia

Gary NevilleThe Chelsea supporters here in the Transfer Tavern have been reminiscing this past week during their drinking sessions about some of their former players.

One name who came up was Argentinean forward Hernan Crespo and ironically he has made the landlord’s copy of The Metro today, after launching a scathing attack on England’s very own Gary Neville.

Neville’s job as Valencia boss hangs in the balance and Crespo is  ‘almost happy’ to see him struggle over in La Liga.

He said: ” To watch a game from the TV is much different than watching it from the bench.

“I am almost happy for Gary Neville’s troubles at Valencia. I remember he was too harsh as a TV pundit.”

The ex-Blues striker who netted 20 goals in 49 appearances during his time at Stamford Bridge is currently head coach at Serie B side Modena.

One Chelsea fan is over in the smoking area and couldn’t help but offer a wry smile at Crespo’s comments, adding that he thought every Chelsea fan would tend to agree given Neville’s United affiliation!
