Ex-Tottenham boss urges Liverpool ace to pen a new deal with the club

Liverpool gave him a chance when others didn'tThe Daily Mail has managed to get Liverpool fans nodding away here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think that Raheem Sterling has been urged to get his head down and pen that new contract.

That is according to former Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp, who is currently jobless after walking away from the relegation threatened club to have an operation on his knees and is now offering his opinion to anyone who will listen.

Redknapp claimed: ‘Sign your contract. You are at a great club, you are playing regularly, you have become an England international, you’re learning the game.’

While we do not think that Sterling should be pushed into signing a new deal – especially one he may not feel is quite what he deserves, there is no denying that Liverpool are the best club for him at the minute and that he needs to be focusing on his time on the field, not issues off it.

Liverpool fans. Will Sterling sign a new deal with the club? Should Liverpool be offering him some more money? Let us know your thoughts below.
