Excelling boss ends Chelsea speculation by ensuring club of his future

AllegriChelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are preparing themselves for a new managerial appointment and such a deal seems to be edging closer, which has led to many discussions between the punters over a few pints.

The latest conversation has orientated around one manager ruling himself out of the running, which has increased the likelihood of Antonio Conte taking charge at Stamford Bridge this summer.

The Sun says Massimiliano Allegri has assured Juventus he will remain at the club next season, which rules out a Premier League move to Chelsea and ends the reported interest of Real Madrid.

Allegri has excelled in his two years with Juventus, replacing Conte after the 2014 World Cup, and he led the turin outfit to an Italian double last season and the Champions League final, where they were defeated by Barcelona.

He’s won the Serie A crown in each of his two seasons in Turin and is on-course for a third successive honour this term- and he’s looking to make it a quartet next season as he revealed he will remain with the Italian giants.

“There’s never been anything (with other clubs). I’m fine here and there are no problems. No we’re thinking of a fifth Scudetto in a row and the Coppa Italia. We work to improve every year.”

Our landlord isn’t surprised by this news and he didn’t feel Allegri was a leading candidate anyway, stating there was many ahead of him in the pecking order.
