Arsene Wenger is under huge pressure to make some seriously high-profile signings at the Emirates this summer as he looks to bring Champions League football back to the club.
The Frenchman, who signed a new two-year deal with the club earlier this week, has plenty of work to do in order to get the Gunners fans back onside after a tough season.
Of course, the Gunners do have some real quality in their ranks and with some solid additions over the coming months, there’s every hope he’ll be able to lead the Gunners back up the table next time out.
And one man that has been hotly linked with a move to London in recent weeks is exciting Nigerian youngster Henry Onyekuru. The Pro League star seems confident that a move to the Emirates is on the horizon and has been recently speaking of his hero, a certain Thierry Henry.
Speaking to the Nigerian Football Federation, he said: “”Thierry Henry has always been my idol since I was a kid,” Onyekuru, 19, told the Nigerian Football Federation .
“I love watching him play, watching Arsenal and going to YouTube to watch most of his games,” he said.
“I remember saying if I had to move to the Premier League I want to be like Thierry Henry, so it’s like a dream come true and I’m looking towards it at the moment,” he added.
Yet despite Onyekuru’s hopes that a move to the Emirates is edging closer, nothing concrete has formalised by Arsenal in terms of a deal.
Arsenal fans- could Onyekuru be a future star if he signed over the summer? Leave your thoughts down below!
