Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are growing increasingly concerned regarding their side’s future and they’ve halted their game of pool to have a fiery debate, with it emerging another player is planning for a summer exit.
The Sun states Asmir Begovic has joined the long list of Chelsea men likely to leave at the end of the season, with the Bosnian international becoming increasingly frustrated with his lack of playing opportunities.
28-year-old Begovic was a first-team regular at the start of the season but was immediately dropped when Thibaut Courtois returned from a nine-mont injury absence in early December. Under new boss Guus Hiddink, Begovic has featured just once.
That appearance came in the FA Cup against Scunthorpe and Begovic was furious to find himself dropped to the bench for the weekend’s drubbing of MK Dons in the same competition.
With it increasingly likely the Blues will miss out on Champions League football next term, and still with no permanent manager lined-up, concerns amongst our Chelsea regulars are rising as they fear as mass exodus in the summer.
Our landlord has to agree with them, as he believes the likes of Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois could also push for an exit.
